Hi to all I have a 2007 CLK 220 CDi MERCEDES avant-garde auto and I have a problem with the car. The engine is fine but some time's the engine goes into a form of limp mode and it will only rev upto 3000 rpm after about 15/20 minutes but this is very infrequent also I've noticed that the fan is coming on from startup when cold and the temperature gauge is only reading 40/50 centigrade and the heat is not very hot in the car I've seen a mechanic and had it checked on an up to date snap on computer/reader and no faults also there are no faults on the dash help please

I have a more or less identical car and the engine temp gauge should read between 85 and 90 degrees once the car has properly warmed up. Mine was only reaching about 60 degrees prior to having a new thermostat fitted. It now reads correctly and the fuel economy is much better and the heater is much improved.
I Can't help on the other issue unfortunately.
