New Member with Vito W638

Hi All,

I am new to forum and I have 2001 Vito. I am converting it to day bus for my family. I have loads of good advise from people at work, but I've already learned that not all advise is sound!!

I brought Kia Sedona driver & Passenger captain seats as I was advised that they are an easy conversion! However the runners don't line up with the seat base.. not a real problem. However my main concern is that the seat aren't central to the steering wheel - I can't move the base to the left as this will affect the handbrake.

So my first question is has anybody done such a conversion? and if so how did you do it?

Haven't got a problem swapping seats for proper vito seats, but the Sedona ones i've got are really comfy!!

Welcome to the forum.

Is there not enough room on the seat box to centralise the Kia seat? The way you have described the fitting, it is too far to the right and you need to move it more towards the left/middle of the van?
