Hello
I am a new joiner based in London. I’ve been a long time admirer of the R230 SL63 AMG and think Im ready to take the plunge. Have previously been put off the various stories about headbolts, ABC pumps/ struts, SBC etc etc but I’m sure there are some well maintained examples out there that fit the bill for me. If anyone has any recommendations of good MB specialists in the West London area that would be helpful. Thanks

Welcome and enjoy is all I can say I've got the SL500 R230 😎

Hi and welcome 👍

Another vote for Terry & the team at Wayne Gates in Harrow.

I’ve been a very happy customer for over 10 years, initially with the original A-Class, then my CL500, and currently the CLK.
Great knowledge, great service.

(There are specialists closer to home, but this is the place to go to )

Greetings and welcome to the group - SL's are wonderful cars, but like to keep my bank account on red alert!

Greetings and welcome to the group!
It was my dream to own a Mercedes one day..... A large family car was chosen as the first like 2012 GL 350, followed by an A150 w169 for my twins, and then a B200 W245. Now everyone has a Mercedes in the family :-).
Half a year ago, we managed to replace the w163 GL (after 403,000 km) with a "new" (2013) W166 GL 500. Everyone loves it.....
Unfortunately, Xentry does not always help, I trust the routine, experienced forum members.

I do love an SL63, i'd be in the market for one but i could do with an e63 for the big rear!
