Hi all, so finding a bit of time today to do this as i should really have written an intro four months ago but life is a whirlwind these days.
So back in September i picked up a nice w203 C230 and apart from a transmission fault which dragged out a bit i'm loving being back in a Mercedes. I'm not going to lie i bought it on impulse the mileage was low the rest pretty mint i was looking for something with a larger engine but you can't help who fall for i guess.
She's old but tidy and to be fair i don't really have a long list of things to do for a change ...
To Do
Wheel refurb as there is some bubbling
Factory tint in the rear - for my daughter the sun shade assasin
Front brake pads and discs which I have ordered today will fit on a dry day
Paint rear calipers - i'll do this again on a dry day I'll keep the silver or go an OAP colour like gun metal grey
There is some tidying up of the metal work undernieth i'd like to do again summer time when paint dries quicker.
Fit Aux lead from footwell to glove box
Done
Mercedes B service (waterhouse Chelmsford)
Speed sensors and conductor plate replaced (autoclass MK)
Bluetooth module fitted - MB2 in arm rest
Spark plugs (NGK) and air filters (Bosch) - DIY job
Philips Racing vision bulbs - They're very good
Bosch sidelights - just the whitest one i could find in Halfords without going the melty LED route
Wipers Bosch aerotwin
That is pretty it much so far. The paint work is in good order but could use a MOP and a few days detailing and dressing the engine bay, i found someone has scuffed a curb under the front skirt so will sort that in time but other than that everything works as it should.
The hardest thing was finding the cup holder which turned arrived a we bit broken !
However the seller was great and just refunded me and let me keep it so free cup holder ! some "stupid glue" later it in ! it was too fiddly to do anything clever with.
