2013 C63 estate
Hi,

I'm picking up a C63 estate this weekend, a 2013 in Cavansite blue. I've been looking for a little while now for the 'right' one to come along and I hope I've found it!

While we were looking at the car I noticed that the LED running lights weren't on - is this something that can be switched on/off in the cars settings or should I be asking the dealership to fix something?

You'd need to check when you pick it up but I'm 90% sure there is a setting in the menu on the dash

The man to ask would have been the chap showing you the car! I would not be happy leaving if i thought there might be an issue with what is your perfect car?

Tony.

Great, thanks! This is what I suspected/hoped.

I did ask - it's a Merc main dealer. I just wanted to be able to check for myself before picking it up... obviously I don't have the instructions for it yet!

Great choice of car and I am not in the least bit jealous.....Honest.

I believe (as above) that the DRL setting will be on the dash/console, so switchable.

Have fun.

Thanks, can't wait to pick it up!

You will love it. Not telling you how to suck eggs but go easy, learn the power delivery and start playing with the gearbox settings. Sport + and M are so addictive still grinning after a month of ownership

Would however advise getting a shell reward card as you'll be spending a lot of time on the forecourt

DRL is switchable, on & off via dashboard computer. But can only be done when engine off.

S+ mode is definitely fun. Much more predictable than S mode.

Overall, definitely 'more smile' days coming along!!!

Good advice, thank you. I've not figured out what the difference is between sport and sport + but I guess that's what the instructions are for!

From what the dealer told me. Sport is 20% more responsive than C

And sport + is 20% again over sport, if that makes sense

On sport + you get the auto blip on down shift. (not to sure on sport)

Car lives in sport + or manual as I've found the throttle response easier to drive with. Started in C for a week or so just to get used to the delivery and being rear wheel drive.

I've just turned my drl's off. I don't like the look of them if I'm honest. Just go out and enjoy the car. You won't get bored of it. Mine frightens the life out of me every time I push it

Thanks for the advise on this thread - now collected...

lovely colour...well done and congrats...!

OP, that's my old car (traded it in against an E63 wagon at MB Boston) - brilliant car, enjoy !
