'21 C300 Coupe, '20 SLC Final Edition, Peugeot 208 (hers!) and a new Ford Kuga in Russia
Parked my SLK next to an all-new SLC yesterday.

Essentially the cars are the same, but in my opinion, some of the style of the 172 has been lost. Grafting the C class front and chromed up, fake pipes on the rear, plus losing the strong skirt design of the AMG sport model has done the shape no favours.

Neither SWMBO nor me were impressed. Sadly, no SLC for me...

Instead (with a smile!), when the SLK goes back next year, I shall buy an SLK350 about a year old and lease a new GLA. Job done! :)

Anyone else seen the new SLC yet?

I thought the same when I saw one at the Stealer this week...

How did it compare in terms of size/overall dimensions?

The reception has been really positive for us. Seats are confier, the look is more aggressive and there's a lot more customisation options. I'm driving an SLC200 at the moment and the sports exhaust is ludicrous!!!

The lack of a V8 is a deal breaker for me. Fingers crossed that they do something decent with the R173.

Is the new 200 a lot quicker than the previous one? Being a 2.0 I imagine it pulls better?

Don't discount the 43 until you've driven it. The V6tt engine really is good in our SL, in a smaller car with more power and less weight it's probably very good indeed.

It's better than the V8 in my opinion. It sounded awesome, handled more sharply, pulled well from really low and was a better package overall. I think jgkk sell much better, especially considering its 10k cheaper

The 200 had already been a 2 litre for a while. I think it's a nice overall package, but the 300 is the one to go for

Do you know when the C convertible is coming to UK? From a video I saw the other day it looks nice... :)

It's delayed a tad. Sales release July, arrival September

C class cabriolet is the better bet as it's a new chassis/platform

I agree. My only issue would be the rag top. My experiences with my Saab rag wasn't good (a LOT of birds hang round my house....) and the hard top SLKs have spoilt me somewhat, but I love the look (in images and video) of the C convertible and quite like the idea of a 4 seater again... hmmm...decisions, decisions!! LOL!
