Why? My son has a 2019 E53 Coupé and it performs fantastically - makes my SL feel sluggish.

Im sure it will sound great.

Are they Brabus tips?

Yes mine performs beautiful too but it sounds like shit ( excuse my French). I'm just doing a CATBACK with valves so I can have it loud or quite. My mates all have the CLS53 and there's sound fantastic with the new T1 exhaust.
Mine should be finished on Wednesday night.

What is the make/model of the titanium exhaust?
It’s hand made by the garage and they call it a T1 Exhaust. It’s pretty much a copy of a Armytrix or IPE exhaust. I comes with a couple of remote controls to open and close the valves while you are driving along the road
This is what it looked like when I dropped my car off this morning

I cant wait to here it. If its anything like my mates CLS it’s going to be loud

Looking forward to seeing/hearing this. :) 👍

Hand made in Thailand , the jig is on the floor . No reason why the whole thing can't be made there, the skills are in place and labour is cheaper. As long as the materials are sourced from a supplier or quality steel and the pipes are purge welded there should be no problems. :thumb:

They certainly do have a lot of skills. I also have a ford ranger truck that has had a bunch of work done on it........love my truck too

Looking good. A new exhaust is something on my bucket list for the e63s but I want something that hooks into the exhaust control of the car rather than extra remote ... But looking forward to the update when it's done :)

So the exhaust is being made in Thailand and sent to the UK, or the OP is based in Thailand?

The welding work looks Akrapovic-special.

Look at the registration plate on the OP's car and his profile. BTW , the welding is OK (no word on whether it has been purge welded) but is a long way off Akrapovic standards. But I am sure it will do the job no problem.

Micheal I live in Phuket Thailand, and drove up to Bangkok at the weekend to get the exhaust installed. They have a Jig so they had been working on it a few days before I arrived.
Like I mentioned before, performance wise the E53 Coupe is super quick, it just sounds terrible. The only way I can get the car to screem is to drive it in manual and red line it in every gear but that’s dangerous and also not good for the car so the next best option was to change the exhaust………..
Luxury cars in Thailand (Benz, Porsche, Lamborghini etc etc) carry a 2 to 300% import duty (200% if they are assembled in Thailand and 300% if they come in from Germany…..Unfortunately the E53 Coupe came from Germany……..They make and assemble the CLS53 here in Thailand but I didn’t want a four door
