Hi all just a quick hello from a new member. I'm on my fourth Merc now but the lastest one is the car I've been dreaming of for 5 years the C63 estate 2009. Had it for 3 weeks now 3 tanks of juice, day at Deutschfest brands hatch I haven't stopped smiling.I live in colchester Essex and am enterested in knowing if anyone knows of a Mercedes recognised garage for all servicing etc when the time comes. Up to now it has 6 Merc stamps and 3 specialist ones and want to keep this going. Also what are your thoughts on 95 or 98 octane petrol during conversations at brands hatch it was split some saying I always use 95 others saying 98 your thoughts would be apppreciated

Welcome to MBClub. Use 98 RON fuel, that's what your manual should say. Using 95 RON should be used for emergency situations only.

Welcome to the forum Mark, What colour is yours? i saw a Grey c63 estate the other day in Harwich as thats where im at.

Fuel debate is usually a popular one lol, I always put Super in my e55k "Shell" most of the time but do use Bp if i get caught short.

Tesco momentum is good also. 99 RON.

I don't even know if my 320 needs it but I only use premium fuels anyway.. mostly just 'cos I can' I have noticed a difference tho but that may be my mind

Does it not tell you which fuel to use inside your filler cap, along with tyre pressures, etc?

98/99 Ron only dude. It will run like a dogs breakfast on 95.

Hi mate it's going great, day at brands hatch 3 tanks of juice cleaned her to death cleaned her some more trying to work out how to put pictures on forum, It's my daily drive wouldn't have it any other way apart from juice it's fantastic, drive round town at 30mph wouldn't know it has 460bhp then cruise on motorway at various speeds effortlessly, It's a special feeling and feel very lucky to have it, thanks to wife for finally giving in ha!

In case you haven't got the message, premium fuel always!

The car will have two engine maps, will detect when it's running on 95RON with twigs and bits of dirt in and work from a map with reduced performance.

Hi there yes probably will only had it 3 weeks been to petrol station 4 times to fill already I've never volunteered to go shopping as much in my life!!! Wife loves it at mo until she sees bank account ha!
