Hi all

Have had the new car just a week now- totally made up with my new Benz. If someone can tell he how, I will post some pics for you.

Quick question- at night, all the dash dials and switches are lit (obviously) but not the symbols around the headlight rotary switch. The switch itself is lit. Is this right or do I have a blown bulb in the dash? No sweat either way as it's under warranty.

Congrats on new car. Have driven the C280 on more than one occasion it is a very nice car/engine indeed. Very refined. Good on fuel too when I had it.

There are no lights around the switch. Very annoying.

Many Thanks. Wife has just done a few short trips in it this week and has managed 24 mpg:eek: Sounds lovely though

If my memory serves me right, the loaner I had returned some 32 mpg on the Motorway at a steady 80. This car only had a few hundred miles on the clock when I used it. Not bad for a 3-litre V6.

congrat for your Mercedes:) , but are you sure it's a W203? Since C280 was on W202 series, 6 cilynders on W203 was C320

W203 C280 is actually pokier than a W203 C320.
Both V6 but with completely different engines...........
Mainly due to the fact that a the C280 engine is 24 valve and the C320 is 18 valve - even though the C280 is "only" 3 litre and the C320 is 3.2 litre.

There is also a C230 and a C240 - with V6 engines.

Yes, definately a 2006 C280 Merc with a big woofly 3.0V6:D

Never new they made one. Must have been to replace the C240. The C240 was smooth, but not very fast. An extra 400cc will make it better

Sounds like a nice, and rare, car. Welcome.

this is something really new for me. I'm quite sure that W203 C280 were never sold here in Italy.:)

Furthermore it's so strange that C280 develop more power than C320 (I refer always to the W203 serie). From that link I see also the C350 also never sold here! Is it possible that latest W203 sold in UK were equipped by different engine (from W204 for instance) waiting for the start of production of RHD W204?
