Newbie, help please. W204

Bonjour. Advice please. Recently bought a C220 AMG Sport + CDI Estate 2013. The logbook says BLUE-CY A.
Is it a blueefficiency hence no adblue filler? Also the ECO light stays on on the dash and instrument panel but stop/start never kicks in. Not fussed by that but meet all the criteria for it to work.
Love driving it, but thinking if it's worth getting a stage 1 remap on it.
Appreciate any assistance to my queries.

Welcome. Your W204 is BlueEFFICIENCY. This means that (thankfully) it does not have the AdBlue system. Which is good news (unless you regularly drive in ULEZ areas).

Re the ECO light.... there could be several reasons why it doesn't turn green, but 9 out of 10 times, it's simply a tired battery (main starter battery, or the auxiliary battery). If you're not fussed about not having Start/Stop (most people don't like it anyway) then just leave it until the battery completely does on you. But it might be a good idea to monitor the starter battery's voltage first thing in the morning before starting the engine (you can do this from the instrument cluster menu) so that there are no surprises as winter kicks in.

Agree that the eco issue is probably caused by the auxiliary battery, depending on model to the cost of a replacement, but if you don't want/ heed the feature then maybe leave it.
