Apparently this device looks like a car mobile phone charger. It plugs into your cigar lighter socket and into the iPod hedphone socket. It then uses a fixed frequency of 107.7 so is crystal clear. Has anyone got one of these and are they legal ? The legal warning on iPodworld is only mentioned next to the iTrip device.

I would imagine it's still illegal as it's a transmittor.

It is only illegal if you don't have a licence to broadcast on that frequency in that area! ;)

So basically still illegal then. ;)

I thought the iTrip was CRAP .. but am really interested in this improved version. where have you seen it? Anyone tried it?

I've got the mine-iTrip and it works fine, although I do find the cassette adapter better quality. I often drive different cars and its handy being able to take the iPOD and just tune the radio in.
