nice looking 300te-24v

I love to pick holes as much as the next man ....

Not really picking holes Howard, it's helpful to new members who may be looking for one, and don't know the cars too well :)
Also, the old adage "no such thing as a cheap merc" still applies - if it needs a head gasket, exhaust, aircon work etc it could end up being very expensive, even if you only wanted to run it for a year. I recently bought my 280, and looked at a lot of dross before I found it (or rather, it found me...)

It wasn't directed at you Dave, just generally ....

Everyones quick to say , oh no history , misaligned bumper , new light , new door etc etc etc ....

Anyone who buys a car off Ebay , without at the very least going to look at it needs their head examined .....

Just makes me sad how everyone is quick to jump ( me included ) to negative conclusions ....

There was a thread a while back where everyone started slating this particular car , and picking holes in the advert , until a member piped up that it was actually his , and then everyone changed their tune a bit ...

It's different if it is a blatant POS and someone is trying to blag it , but someone who just wants rid of their old faithful estate or whatever doesn't really deserve to have it torn to bits ....

I do it myself, but for some reason this thread has made me take a step back and think ....

I agree totally. But you do need to know what to look for, and I still think it could be helpful to share the collective knowledge that we 124 owners have here with someone who isn't as familiar with these cars. On a positive note, the 300te-24 looks the dogs in that colour, with the wheels and all. Yes, it could be a good'un.
My '93 200te is up on ebay as a classified at the moment. See if you can find it! Pick holes! I know it's overpriced, but it's worth a try....I'd welcome any feedback on the way the ad is presented.

It has definitely had a nsf impact which damaged the light, wing and bonnet. The bumper doesn't seem to fit so either it was pushed in and came back out okay but not the mountings, or is a replacement and has been misaligned.
Nice colour, wheels and kit. Save for the accident would be great and might be worth a look to see how bad the damage is/was.

item withdrawn, did someone on here buy it?

It says it has a four speed auto box.

Strange, looking at the gear selector, and the position of the S/E switch, it's a 5-speed

It's the front spoiler that's for sale, not the car. Photo is just an illustration, taken from ebay.
