no starter

Hi looking for a lttle help please.Covered the car up last week before the bad weather.The cover was no good ,thats another story.To day another cover came,so thought i woud run the car before fitting the cover on .But it wont start.I fitted a new set of spark plugs .Still no joy .No spark at the plug itself .So is there a quick job i can do to chjeck the coil, and distributer. Help needed so i can get this coverd up befor the next down pour.

First check the condition of distributor cap & rotor (common issue on M103's), if in doubt change and use a Bosch replacement.

Wouldn't run it and then cover it as that will attract moisture as it cools down.

As to the non starting, no idea without seeing it.

Hi thank you for your response i have removed distributor can find nothing to say why it wont start ,no damp and it looks in good condition both cap and rota arm . Do you know of a way to check the coil , in any way?
