noisey tick over

i have a c200 sport 95 with 120,000 miles on her today i noticed when i started up the car it had a little rattle for half a second and then while it was warming up it sounded like a tractor it was a loud tick tick for about two minutes does anyone know what it could be and will it be expensive being a merc i know it will be lol

Sounds like a sticky hydraulic tappet.

When did you last do an oil change?

i done an oil change about 5 months ago i put castrol magnetic in her
and it doesnt get drove much mostly weekends

Suggest you use it more and get it properly warmed up every time (minimum trip 20 miles), with some long trips too. Cars are made to be used and do not take kindly to semi-dormancy.
