Does anyone know where I can get a Mercedes/Nokia interface. Its for my CLK W208 and the part number on the current ine is A203 820 25 85

Cheers,
Jez.

Does anyone know what part number A203 820 32 26 is for?

This part has been used on multiple models. It is the first part used on a CLK430 208.470 with option code 852/854. This is the sequence of part numbers:
A2038203226
A2038209926
A2038202585

You may find the difference from Richard's web site, I don't know if it is only SW bug fixes or if the later part supports later phone models.

Different ones have different phone support. One of those may be the Nokia 3110 controler but that is most likely option 317. (wiring between all works fine, although from the 6210 onwards they fitted a GSM1800 booster)

I'll consult my old notes and summarise

Richard

So what is the difference?

A2038203226 - I bought off eBay in Germany, but when I install it I get the "phone initialising message"

A2038202585 - Is the one that I currently have that is noisy

Nokia 6310i cradle

Richard,

You seem to be the in car phone and entertainment guru. Can you tell me if i can change my 6310i cradle for a 6230i in my 2004 w211 320cdi without having to change anything else?

Cheers,

John

I thought a 2004 W211 would still have the Nokia 6100 series interface, with option code 380 instead of the option code 386 UHI? If so, then you cannot simply swap the cradle. If it after all has UHI, then it is a simple cradle swap.

Thanks diesel my WDB2110262A540655 certainly has a 6100i cradle but had hoped to swap for a 6230i. The vin info from trhe Russians notes code 380, so i guess that is that i'm stuck with the brick!

You would always have the option to retrofit the UHI kit, available e.g. here:
Comand Online Ltd :: Phone Retrofit Kits (MOST/D2B) :: Phone retrofit kit for MOST based cars

Not exactly cheap though. A cheaper approach would be to by the ViseeO BT adapter. Available from several source but also the one above.

Comand Online Ltd :: Phone Cradles & Adapters :: ViseeO MBU1000 Bluetooth for Mercedes Benz

As dieselbenz says, if you have the option 380 (you can see this because the phone cradle connected to the car with a curly cable) then you can either replace the whole lot (expensive!) or put in a Viseeo MBU-1000

- I'd suggest the MBU-1000 and then bluetooth to the phone of your choice. You dont get to use the external aerial or charge the phone, but you do get to use whatever phone you want (pretty much) and you can always use a cigarette lighter charger !

Richard

ps. Just be thankful you dont have the system which has a inbuilt phone in the car that you have to put a SIM in, to get bluetooth you do then have to replace the whole lot.

Thanks Diesel & Richard

I have a duff A211 820 14 51 (several contactors bottom right of holder broken) so need to replace. Has anyone seen cheap replacement?!!

John
