nokia phone cradle

Hi,

the mrs just bought a mini one (new style) in the car is a nokia hands free kit, the only problem is the cradle (its huge) i thinks its the old universal one.
does any one know what this is called? im trying to fing a way to use this with her sony ericsson, i know i can get a bluetooth converter for it but i need to know what the holders are called.

This was quite confusing, do you have the 386 UHI kit in the car or the older 380 kit? What is the model year of your car?

If it is the 380 kit for Nokia 6xxx or similar phones, then your only option should be the ViseeO BT adapter. But if you know you can't get BT, I'm wondering which phone kit do you actually have.

If it is UHI after all, then you can have the MB BT adapter (HF version) or you can use ViseeO.

Since you don't mention the phone model, it is impossible to say if there was a cradle for it.

No wonder the post was confusing to me. I thought the phone was small but after all the car was small.

im asking about the phone cradle not the mini... i'll search on google, think i'll have to take the craddle out and search for a part number.

Better still, change the car for a Mercedes then the cradle might fit

Does it have an after market Nokia kit or is it an OEM kit?

I guess you could convert an after market kit to BT but I've seen comments that there may be echo with a non-Nokia phone. Not sure if it applies for some specific kits/phones only.
