I used to drive to Kettering from Leicester for work. You could drive from the M6 straight through to A14 if you're in a rush.
If not, then I suggest drive to Leicester via the M69, then use the A6 all the way to Kettering. It makes for a more interesting drive.

Was thinking of M6 and trying the new toll road. But a better idea would be to meet the Cat at a service station on the M1. Anyone want to join in? Pammy?
