Well, been waiting with eager anticipation for about a month for my CLS. Original delivery date was 30th :bannana:but got a call today to say its now going to be the 9th of Feb!
The fitting of a wheelchair lift is not helping. I just hope they dont call to put it back again, I dont know if I can take it
Still I suppose it will give the salt time to wash away and, as I waved goodbye to the W204 today, they are lending me a car until mine is delivered.Although until tomorrow I dont know if the loaner is a Fiat panda or an S class (although I have a sneaking suspicion that it is the former rather than the latter).
Obviously will post pics of new baby asap.

I am exactly the same waiting for my E350 Sport. Ordered it early December and can't have it to play with until 1st March. I am so impatient

Hi there,

I am interested in your wheelchair lift going into the new cls as may well have to fit something similar for a member of the family.

Is it the type that lifts a powered chair into the boot or is it another type ? If so what make did you decide on? Would be interested in chatting to you about it but you cannot receive PMs yet

Hi Paul, unfortunately all the details have been handled by the Mercedes dealers in Macclesfield and I've yet to see the finished item. The specifications were just to fit and supply a boot mounted hoist capable of lifting a 19Kg self propelled wheelchair. To be honest even the dealers dont know a great deal about it as its the first one that they have had fitted to this type of car. They had to supply a CLS to an approved installers (Goslings, also of Macclesfied l I think) a couple of weekends ago so that they could measure up and make sure everything would fit.
I should be able to let you know more when I, hopefully, have the car delivered on the 9th of Feb.
I'll take some pictures of the hoist in situ and post them on the site.

I'd hazard a guess it is more likely to be a smaller Merc - (A ,B,C class) , or a Smart .....
