NTG 2.0 reverse camera problem

Hi people and merry christmas to all of you.

Hope someone can help me with my reversing camera problem.
so a few weeks back my main battery went kaput, i then tried to recharge it but was getting some sort of short on the charger.
opened the battery caps and battery was completely dry and full of sulfate.
so I replaced the battery with a new one, and no more reverse camera, its gone.
Also the small battery went kaput and got it replaced today in hope that it would fix the camera but nothing.
I have also checked the camera module on the trunk and all seems fine with no visible loose connections.
Also went to the Comand engineering mode and can't find any option to activate the reversing camera.

any suggestions?

It may have to be re-programmed back using Star, the MB diagnostic equipment.

If you haven't got one, find a good independant MB specialist with Star if you can instead of using the expensive main dealer.
If you post your location, someone may be able to suggest a good indy to use.

that makes sense since it was working fine before the battery went.
im located at the channels islands, so probably the only solutions is to pay a visit to the MB steelers.
is the Star software something that can be purchased online? or only the dealer has it?
