i was keeping an eye on this on fleabay, and wondered if the price it went for was average/good or not worth it........

Mercedes Navigation NTG2.5 CLC C w203 6 disc Changer Mic and bluetooth antenna | eBay

the cost of replacing my 2.0 COMAND with the upgraded 2.5 is a little off putting, given the unit is not all i'd need, and then i'd wane the reversing camera for sure! and especially if i want to add a tv tuner, even on fleabay they'e not cheap !

I have looked for these as well for the coupe and they make big money like that.

ive seen a couple on ebay from Lithuania and Latvia but prices are a bit far fetched, all i want is a dvd player, sat nav and bluetooth, slightly tempted by the dynavin units

The W203 units are rarer than the rest, because they were only in models that had relatively limited production (because the W203-C had been replaced by the W204, except for the CLC, which only got NTG2.5 in Dec 2008). Also, the W203 CLC never came with the DVD changer, that was in an even lower production number model.

So, I guess this probably makes them more expensive than others.

that would be why, thanks richard, can you guys get hold of any of the 2.5 units?

Mine was brand new, bought from Richard and Alfie and installed and maintained by them. Great unit and very professional installation. Can't recommend them enough.

sounds like i might need to sell an leg, what price would i be looking at richard?

Interesting poiint of note - that one on ebay was listed as the multi disc one, and has an eject button that shows a couple of discs on it..... from what richard said above, i'm assuming it would still need the mult dvd changer unit (like the cd one i have in my glovebox) ?

This is the biggest thing for me - where markjay, i believe yours was a fresh fit of COMAND, i already have the NTG 2.0, so it's alot of money to upgrade the sat nav, versus installing it to gain sat nav

Also, i hadn't noticed till now, those images are not all of the same unit ! 2 at least are single disc units

It has an internal DVD changer. NTG2.5 does not support an external CD or DVD changer.

ah ok, thanks for clearing that up.

How big a job is it to switch from NTG 2.0 with CD changer and Bluetooth phone installation (UHI socket in centre console)

Given that the 2.5 comes with bluetooth as standard and i think Linquatronic as well ??

Hey,
I'm thinking about changing NTG 2 for NTG 2.5 in my 2006 CLK 320 CDI (European version).
Is it a difficult operation? I know that W203 Comand has slightly different shape as it's a little bit wider but I guess I can handle trimming that. What about technical side? Is it plug&play operation in that case?

Now I have additional mp3 cd changer and bluetooth SAP adapter (works fine) but I won't need that with NTG 2.5 as it has bulit-in bluetooth and can play music from SD cards (or even hard drive, is that correct?).

I just started my research but as far as I'm concerned I have to look for NTG 2.5 from CLC coupe. Is that the only headunit that will work in my C209 facelift?
What else do I need if I already had nav in my car? Will steering wheel control work? Will instrument cluster show for example nav directions or currently played song?

And most important - how much do I need to pay for NTG 2.5 to consider that a decent deal?

Any help would be appreciated.

Richard above would the person to speak to or Alfie, they run Comand online, and have a vast amount of experience in swapping these over

Its not just the shape that is different. The mounting brackets/lugs are completely different. You can just about shoe horn a W203 NTG 2.5 into a W209 but its going to look ugly as it will create gaps in the trim etc. Other than that it should work provided you do the necessary wiring adaptation.
