Hello
Are there any aftermarket code readers which can scan the ABC system .
I have found a website that sells a package of software ,connectors and a laptop but don't know how good it might be.

iCarsoft MB2 V2 can read all the parameters of ABC along with most other functions of the on board diagnostics.. it can reset fault codes.

Brilliant. Is that from experience or reading the blurb

All from personal experience..all ABC parameters can be viewed and fault codes reset with that tool.
I read your other post too.. on odd suspension heights.
the ride height sensors have a small plastic arm that can break.. (bottom of link rod)20220819_105946.jpg
check yours.. if you don't know what they look like here is a pic of mine , before I fitted lowering links.

Glenn , you have a few MB's of a 'certain age' a ICarsoft MB (or similar) is a must for the tool kit. It can pay for itself the first time you plug it in. And they work on non MB cars.
Ironically as my C55 is a very 'analogue' car my MB iCarsoft has found more use on other (non MB) cars since I bought it.

Hi
I have a foxwell 630nt that does everything else airbags srs abs etc for most cars.
Its just the ABC system it can't do so looks like time to invest in one.

if you're messing with the ride calibration, whatever you do, don't delete the sensor settings. You're not going to be able to get them back without special tools

Hi
No intention of doing that. Just want to see what codes if any are showing.
Going to check the links today as per John757 .

Checked all my suspension links and all look OK.
Whats not so good is it took the reservoir cap off pulled the filter up and with the car running could see no fluid coming through.
I guess my pump is knackered although its not leaking.
I've read theres a fine filter inside, could this be blocked?

Plenty going on here . First vid from 36 minutes. Let's hope you don't have to go through this.

Presumably rather than just assume my pump is dead I need to pressure test it as per the above video. I have a pressure test kit, I'll need to see what its rated to.

The iCarsoft will show the pressure in the system...mine is 186bar.

Well I guess my pump has had it at 0 bar and pretty much no visual flow through the filter.
My question now is where is the best place to get one?

Sorry to hear that Glenn.. Presumably the engine was running with the pressure check? The ABC pump is a tandem pump and part of the power steering pump (separate systems inside)
Changing the pump and bleeding the ABC might be best left to a competent indie.

Good luck buddy. 👍

It might not be the pump.. if the system has a leak and is low or nearly empty.. the pump has no way of pressuring up the system.. try adding fluid ( only use MB ABC fluid) see if the pressure goes up.

There's no leak and plenty in the tank 😭

If it turns out to be the pump, be sure you get the correct pump using your chassis number.. ABC/Power steering pump is specific to ABC equipped cars.. Non ABC cars use a completely different power steering only pump.

The one I listed above is shown as for the cl500
