This thread will now be busted by the Anti-Petrol police and you will all be arrested, then made to name your friends and family members as coconspirators. Viva La Revolution!

I'm here :)

Diesel > all

The op should feel honoured to be mistaken for a diesel driver.

IDiesel > all

No. I beg to differ.

The V8 petrol you had was a huge leviathan of BMW's garden shed division. Brilliant motor but not the pinnacle of BMW's petrol division.

There is no, and I mean no, top performance car available today on the market that is a diesel.

Petrol rules but stopping at filling stations is a killer.

Diesel has it's merits to the normal day-to-day driver and I am appreciating that again (having previously had a VW Golf IV 1.9 GT TDi) but I would swap my E220 for a E63 in a heartbeat if money was no object

I am a "normal" day to day driver. I drive a petrol powered car. I don't do diesel. Thank you.

I'm not slating petrol in any way, shape or form. Please accept this.

Although knowing the names of all the guys (you do make a good cuppa in the morning guys!) at the petrol station(s) on route to work is something I can live without...
