Oil filler cap O ring

Hi all, you u all well, can someone help me with the picture of the oil ring or rubber seal at the top of engine for filler cap, I need to know which way it goes up, 1 year after my car was fixed from timing I place the oil filler cap with the rubber on top of engine and I just check yesterday and found load of oil inside my plugs hole, all plugs and am thinking may his from the oil cap that rubber Sean in the engine too, I want to buy another one from Mercedes but new to see which way it goes up. Thank you

All the bolts that hold the spark plug electric caps down also hold the rocker cover down , which has rubber gaskets around the spark plug holes . Check they are all tightened to 10-11nm I think ?

I think that the rubber seal is upside down by the oil cap . Turn it over , if there is a groove on one side , face this to the nearest outside edge of the top of the engine . New oil caps are cheap , worth getting one anyway

Thank you man, I have bought another rubber Seal and put on, the rubber and filler are less are bought from Mercedes about 10 months.
