Oil Gauge

Hello, hope someone can help out on this one ?
My 230TE used to sit between 2 - 2.5 ish on the oil presure gauge when idling, now it sits on 0 this has only just happened.
anyone any ideas..................

What is the pressure at normal running. have you changed the oil

Does it move if you blip the throttle??

Hi, the normal running pressure is about 2.5 when driving but when you stop at lights or a junction the pressure drops to 0.

And the oil has not been changed for 6 months
What oil is best to use ?

Yes the pressure will go up, but drops again

This could just be the oil pressure sensor failing that is screwed into the block, If it is ok at normal running there should be no problem, you either need someone to put a oil pressure gauge directly into the block or you change the sensor, not that expensive, dont worry about the oil, I only asked to know if the fault happened after an oil change
