Hi guys,

I need some help from the oil specialist ou there <img src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f642.png" class="smilie smilie--emoji" loading="lazy" width="64" height="64" alt=":)" title="Smile :)" data-smilie="1"data-shortname=":)" />

I'm planning the 40000km service to my 2008 CLK 320cdi, and I want to buy the oil to do the service.
The car have Aral 5w30 used by the German MB dealer (where the car came from) and now I'm thinking to change to Castrol or Mobil 1 since I can't find Aral very easily, and now I have some questions.

So I ask you guys, should I stick to the 5w30 or get something like a castrol edge sport 0w40 or mobil 1 0w40?
Are these top oils so good for it's price? (I think 0w it's a bit thin oil for any engine, dispite it helps to perform...)

Something like 5w40 would be great like Castrol edge turbo diesel 5w40 but it says MB229.31 and MB229.51, wich one is it?! (not at uk website)

My car uses 229.51 and I will remap it after the service, so I need a very good oil, and I will ask to change the 25000km-30000km service interval to a lower one, maybe 15000 or 20000
