Om642 glow plug controller

So I have a glow plug fault but pretty sure the plugs are OK as I changed them for mb original 30 k ago. The flow plug controller has a metal plate which makes me think that could be faulty and is the older variant? So with this in mind, where should I purchase the controller since mb want 250 quid!!!!

Last one I bought was by beru. Think I paid £90 for it . 2008 CLS 320 . eBay or partsinmotion I think I bought it from after alot of cross referencing part numbers using autodoc and online EPC.
