Been on before but a very good documentry about the Ford motor company at Dagenham "Fords Dagenham Dream".

Just featured Barry Lee - I met him at Atspeed Racing in Essex just a week ago when I had popped over to see my 02 being fettled. Big character...

The closing scene had me intrigued. Where in the UK is a breakers yard that is still stacking and crushing Mark 1 and Mark 2 Cortinas ??

Poignant program for me. My Dad's been a Ford fan for years and my first car recollection was his white Consul that I "drove" as a four year old (holding the wheel!) around the compound we lived in (I grew up in Africa). Then more recently he bought a Fusion as his "last" car! And, my biggest client is Ford and I've spent some intriguing time at Dagenham watching engines being made. And, lastly, my best mates Dad was a supervisor on the line before car production was ended! :D

Maybe I should buy a Ford one day.... :D

It was a good program. Would like to have seen more of the Lotus Cortinas giving those big yank tanks the runaround.

Very good program really enjoyed it. I thought I was the kiddy when I got my 2.8i Capri :D

I never thought about Ford placing their products in The Sweeney.....the good guys and pretty girls drove Fords and the baddies Mk2 Jags....excellent.

Surely no self respecting blagger would be without a Transit van would they?

They could have made more of the Lotus Cortinas and all conquering works Escorts in 1970's rallying, as awesome as he was we only saw Barry Lee....no Roger Clark, Hannu Mikkola or the utterly mental Ari Vatanen??
