Hi

Upgraded to Apple OS X Mavericks today, so far all looks good, feels quicker but disappointed that the feature that I most wanted which is Air Play is not available for my 2009 MacBook Pro.

Overall for a free upgrade, I can't complain.

I put it on my 2010 Air and it feels pretty good, a little smoother all round and the battery seems to be even better.

Ordered a new Haswell 13" today as well, now that it comes with 256gb and 8gb I couldn't resist.
Also ordered through a Uni website, which took another 15% off, so ended up being £1122 with applecare.
Didn't ask for any proof of being a student.

Installed on my MacBook 13" yesterday. Not really noticed a great deal of difference. Do I imagine it or are the screen colours looking stronger in the dock?

Installed on macbook pro retina, all good so far. Ibooks on the mac, great feature for me.

Safari is feeling a heck of a lot faster.

i think I'll do ours (2110 iMac & 2010 MacBook) this weekend. Has anyone heard of any problems with the upgrade process? Did it take long?

Mine took about 40 mins, its not that quick, no issues though.

No issues at all with the upgrade. Took over an hour but that is my poor broadband speed.

I have not come across any issues since upgrading.

I like the tabbed finder (which means that I don't have to use TotalFinder) but still not as slick. I like the maps app and definitely there is some improvement in the way it works.

Apparently it makes the way it writes back to memory more efficient. So far does not look like snake oil

Still not really fixed though is it?

The x button is still on the wrong side of the window. :fail :D

Now on 2 macbook pros; running well :-)

new haswell 15inch coming soon... ;-)

I have to say, the 13" retina Haswell is nice, however, if I were buying again I would order an Air instead.

Even my 2010 256gb Air doesn't feel that far behind the new one, not day to day. Rendering my music is quicker, converting AIFF and WAV is a bit quicker too, but considering the 2010 is a core 2 duo I was expecting more.

Also, my calibrated Air screen is not noticeably worse than the retina either.

Just installed it on my iMac. Looks nice, not really had much of a play. It seems to have buggered up my iPhoto screensaver though.
