OK, off topic, but proceeds will probably get spent on the car, see my logic?

Anyway as Miele is the Mercedes of the home appliance world, I think I can get away with this.

I have for sale a Miele KF7642SN free standing fridge freezer.

Visually, the same as this but the model I am selling as a digital displays at the top.

This an all singing all dancing appliance.

Massive Fridge
Bottle Rack
4 Drawer Freezer
A Efficiency Rating
Glass Shelves
Digital Temperature Control and Display

etc etc

I have the instruction manual which odly does not have the capacity or dimensions. I cannot measure these right now as I have no measuring devices, but it's about 3 inches taller than me and I am 6ft1!

I bought this monster when as was at my old house, but since moving to my new home, this daddy won't fit and the garage is strictly for the car. I think I must have used it for about 13 months and now it has been sat in my living room, unused for about 9 months.

The appliance is in A1 used condition and is absolutly mint and was washed thoroughly before I transported it, but I would do the same again before any one collected.

As with everything, the model number for this applicance does not seem to be current anymore.

However, I think a current equivalent CAPACITY WISE might be the KFN8862SD. Although I think the KF series I have is superior to the KFN series, as mine has the elctronic controls and digital display etc, like the link below.

By some way of comaprison, take a look at this KF7540SN at Comet. Please note my freezer is a 4 drawer, not a 3 drawer like the one shown.

I paid about a LOT of money for this new, you can see the prices of these appliances on the highstreet, but I am open to any sensible offer. Would like to see it go to a home and be used rather than taking up my space unused.

Collection is a must!

Hi Graham,
If you still have...how old is it? width & depth are vital to see if it would fit in the kitchen & in the back of my 202 estate?

It's still here!

Age - well taking a guess I would say approx 2 years - but it's only been used for half that time.

I must buy a tape measure. However, being honest it's a monster and I don't think a T202 is up to moving it - perhaps with the tailgate open and it lashed down.

I'll pop out in a minute and see if Homebase is still open for a measure - been meaning to get it.

Thanks for that. I will do some checking...did you leave the doors open whilst not in use?

Cant drive with tailgate open..get asphixiated...I have tried it.

The doors have been ajar the whole time it hasn't been in use and it has been stood upright in its correct position. This was my best guess as to how to store it best.

Yes,its imperative to store with doors open as fusty smell resulting cannot be successfully removed.
Will PM you Friday.

Splitpin.

If it were my fridge it'd be stored with the door shut, powered up and full of stuff! :D

I was told that fridges don't like being turned off for long periods (like car aircon) and they also don't like being moved. Not that this helps the sale of your fridge Graham plus I know nothing about fridges never having owned one so everything I say is probably rubbish :)

I've heard fridges don't like to travel and they should be left ot rest before powering after travel to let the gases settle. However, this info may be out of date according to another source. These precautions were taken when moving it my current location.

As for leaving it unpowered - well thats how it came from the warehouse when it was new and there was no valve or anything to release then to protect the gas, so I guess it's OK.

Splitpin, if you want the Fridge and Freezer fired up and chilled to correct temperatures, give me some advance warning of when you might like to visit.

However, this is your choice as i don't know if it's a good idea to run it then, then transport it?

Koolvin - you had better contact me if you are interested too.

Graham - it is Ok to transport it after it has been running, however it is a good idea to leave it to stand upright once at it's destination for a good time (used to suggest up to 24 hours) before switching on to allow it to settle......

(Used to run a shop selling white goods to posh people in Richmond many moons ago - Miele is very much the Rolls Royce of home appliances - costs twice as much as other stuff, but last more than twice as long!!)

Appologies to those interested in this thread.

Now SOLD.
