Out of batery!!!

My brother coupe was sitting on our garage when in the morning he was going to school and the car was without a drop of electric power, not even the key pluged in the ignition!!

The car is 3 year old and nothing was ON when this happened, we checked.

We called MB road side assistance and they charged the battery and started the engine, connected DAS to check errors and nothing, also did a test with some Daimler Crysler battery tester and all was good!

My question, any one had this problem yet?
They don't know what is the problem, and we getted an new Renault clio 1.2L :naughty: (loaned) for free for 5 days while they are searching the problem...

They will check it this week, but the tech of road side assistance sayed that could be some kind of condensator!!

You may require a new battery. Any battery over 3 years could be suspect. Battery life is dependant on many things. temperature, number of discharge/charge cycles, vibration on rough roads etc Your brother's battery may have discharged if it has sat unused for a period of time as I think Malcolm is hinting at.

Received a phone call today from MB, telling me that the problem is on a part on the engine that was consuming power every time, the part is some resistence related (startup sequence) 430€+tax!!

Hoping for MB Germany warranty...
