Out of curiosity: is there a rattle and squeak free car in existence at 100k miles / 10 years + age?

Just wondering about my next used car in a year or so...
I have exceptionally sensitive ears of a bat and after a while they tune into the odd rattle or squeak or buzz, however faint it is (and they are every so faint in my car tbf).
But for my next purchase is there a car brand that is known for long lasting quiet interiors?
Please don't say Lexus; I am not 85 years old, or a freemason, and blind.
Please don't say and EV; I have nowhere convenient to charge until lamp post charging becomes a thing.
(And are EVs rattle/squeak/buzz free anyway? I don't know)
Cheers!

Low mileage 3 series saloon or MB S class.

You'll notice the creaks on an EV because of the lack of engine noise. They're a lot quieter overall but they're not silent.

My 97,000 mile so poverty 14 years old( )212 is silent on the cabin as far as rattles go... and I'm also very impressed with the civility and low volume of the V6 derv under the bonnet....even quieter than my pretty quiet 2.0 d ALFA 4 pot.
That said I've never come across an interior rattle that I could not fix... once found!... so that would not it me off any one make or model of car.

I have MB E220 CdiA Sedan 2008. Basic model. 190.000 miles (310.000kms) in the clock. It is still a very quiet car. Not any interior or other noises. Like built from a single block of wood. Clearly more quiet than my brothers E220 CdiA 2016. I had it treated towards corrosion many years ago. The heavy coating with anti corrosive material made the quiet car the quietest I have ever experienced on gravel roads, too. Are these kind of cars built anymore...?

Supposed to say "over" 14 years old...and not poverty!...."in" instead of "on".... "put" instead ot "it"......stupid predictive text...and being in a hurry! That said.... with every other forum I'm on I could correct it for EVER..... not just 20 mins or so!

I think the ever so faint buzz that only occasionally emanates to the right of my ear on rough roads is something to do with the seatbelt mechanism, because if I pull and lock the seat belt it stop.... not sure I want to mess with getting inside the B pillar and seatbelt real for such a tiny thing. Suppose I could (as I saw online) try and apply sound deadening vinyl to the outside of the real perhaps. Not sure I can be bothered, potentially damaging the B pillar trim too.

Well next time, Lexus it is then 🙃

Or, I suppose as the sound only occurs or those roads with very rough tarmac and it has 18" low profile tyres, maybe a switch to higher sidewalls would help. Hmmm

All of the Mercedes models I’ve had have been very good in terms of rattles, squeaks and creaks. The convertibles can be a bit noisier, because the boot dividers - to separate luggage from roof - can rattle.

My '91 300CE is free from rattles after 1/2 million Kms.

But I cannot switch to this setting, any ideas?

Turn to position IIII, annd then pull and turn clockwise, maybe?

Headlights in some models run clockwise and stop, to turn further for the final two settings - front and rear fog lights - you have to pull the switch out when it stops rotating, and then continue to turn clockwise. I hope that makes sense.

Thank you. I wonder what it does?

There isn't a setting there to switch it to....its just saying that for best de-mist you put it on fan speed 4......
⬆️ Makes sense

The icon you refer to is usually for windscreen demisting, which increases fan speed to max, and on some models automatically closes all of the other vents apart from the screen, and might even switch in air conditioning (if switched off).

Jaguar XF 3L I had a 2010 XFS for 5 year's no rattles or squeaks ,now I recently purchased a 2012 XF 3L and it's extremely quiet 😀
