Hi,
just thought I'd say hello. I have been aware of the forum for a while but finally joined recently.
I'm going through a transition with my cars, having just sold my 2002 Audi S8 and bought a 2009 C350CDI BE to ostensibly replace it and my other toy, a 1994 E320 Coupe. I'm going back to having one car, so wanted something practical and quick, the C350 ticked those boxes for me.
Here's a photo of the C350 taken when I picked it up.
So far my impressions of the car are almost entirely favourable. Fuel economy is no great shakes, but is working out about where I thought it would. Performance is exactly as I wanted, lots!! I love the look of the car too, I didn't want silver or black. I wanted dark grey and love the shade of the tenorite grey, plus with the AMG pack and 18's the car just looks great. I'm thinking about adding DAB to the car at some point so I'll probably be asking for advice about that at some point. In the meantime I'll be enjoying the drive, as the handling is excellent.
This is my other Mercedes.
I've had her since June 2010. We've had our ups and down, with the down centred on the engine, but a top end rebuild and new MB supplied engine wiring loom have sorted that, but its very much been ups apart from that. I love the look of the car, and for cruising around with nowhere in particular to go its complete heaven. I use her pretty much daily for my drive to and from work, when the combination of seats, wheels and suspension make it the most comfortable town car I have owned. I've spent far too much money on her to be able to justify to anyone who doesn't have petrol in their veins. But she is one of my teenage dream cars so I didn't even hesitate, especially as its in my preferred blue with cream interior. If anyone is interested in buying her I'll post an advert on her when I'm able to. In the meantime she is on some other car related sites, pm me if you want to know where exactly.
I look forward to reading and learning lots about my C350 in the future and hope to contribute to community.
