First of all welcome to the forum and hope you realise we do take the p**s sometimes, but your question will be taken seriously. now back to taking the P**S If you look on some buildings you will see painted on windows. this was to keep the effect of the building having many windows, but avoiding (window tax) maybe Farbod wants to reduce his road tax in the same way...

He must be talking about painting the inside of the headlamp unit. Some manufacturers the headlamp unit is black inside in the more sporty model e.g. Focus ST. Focus ST Xenon Headlights (Black Finish)2005>, Pumabuild Or the outside of the unit. For outside you can get film e.g. Fly Eyes Kit vehicle headlamp and tail light tinting film.

Welcome to the forum.

If it is black internals you're looking for, then it may be better to get aftermarket units. If you want a different colour altogether, then I would say if you can split them (usually sealed these days) then a body shop would be able to spray them.

I doubt the bodyshop would want to split and reassemble on your behalf as the risk of damaging the headlamp would be high, especially if it has self-leveling movement within it.

A great idea. What I really like is that there is no longer any output from the indicators and main beam lights..they make excellent position lights, but...
