Frustratingly a wooden gate swung open whilst I'm reversing out of a driveway and damaged the unit that connects the wing mirror to the door and left a dent on the door with some light scratches. Don't have any pics.

I initially thought of having the full door repainted but worried about the paint not matching the Rest of the car... Also thought about seeing a dent repair specialist. Anyone had any experience with either of the above and opinions.

Don't have time to go see a Bodyshop of dent place till June but thinking of potential options just now..

I had the front bumper and grill surround on my Palladium silver CLS painted last year at a bodyshop to get rid of numerous stone chips. Like you I was a little worried about the colour match but the shop said it wasn't a hard colour to match and they were right, you couldn't tell it's been repainted. They charged me £250 so would imagine a door would be in that region but persoanblly although some SMART repairs are good and possibly cheaper I'd go the bodyshop route, especially on a door.
Hope you get it sorted.

I have mine booked in for a door respray but I'm getting the full side resprayed they won't do just a door because of the miss match

I go for localised repair, before having half a car respray.
