Hi

Just discovered this free software from Microsoft.

Image Composite Editor

Have searched long and hard for some free software and this seems to be very good.

Here is a panoramic view of Budapest I stitched together using a Samsung point and shoot camera

Hungary071_stitch.jpg

Its 3 photos stitched then cropped...:D

'Hand stiched' Pano , before the advent of applications with complex algorithms to do this for you ;)

K. Nice effect. Now if you use your crop tool, this will add more drama, by cuttingt out the foreground carpark. ( Hope you don't mind. )

I see a new banner forming.........................;)

Heres a photostich from a MBClub GTG in 2003 that I ran a little script on to get a 360 view.

You can either let it scroll or drag the image left or right.

[edit] made it a bigger now. (back in 2003, most people were still on dial-up)

The photos were taken freehand with no tripod.
