Hello,

I've read the book and watched youtube but im sure Im still doing something wrong.

Can someone please tell me how to use the PA?

I have the P symbol on the cluster, then when i put the car in to reverse it disappears and thats that. or if i leave it in D then I'm stil non the wiser. Youtube tells me the car will park itsself, the book says I will get instructions on the cluster on how to park. I've only had the car a couple of days so still getting use to it all, please bare with me !

Many thanks Matt

You need to wait for the arrow next to the P to appear, then put into reverse. Killerhertz had a good YouTube video on it.

Drive past a space which you know your car will fit in at approx 10mph you will see the p in the display with an arrow pointing to the left. At that point stop the car and select reverse. It will then ask if you want to start park assist press okay and slowly reduce brake pressure and follow the instructions displayed and it should work fine always still look around whilst you use the system

That's a facelift W204 - right?

That feature is available on the C-Class W205 (2014-), not on the W204 (2007-2014).

That's how it works on the C-Class W204 facelift (2011-2014), which is what I believe you have.

I haven't come across the arrow yet, just the P symbol.
Does that I need to move the car closer to the space?

I rarely see the arrow myself to the point that I'm surprised when it does appear! I have the feature but never used it.

Drive slowly alongside a row of parked cars. When you approach a free parking space, the arrow will show.

It is operated by the parking sensors, aka Parktronic, so if you switched-off Parktronic, or if Parktronic is malfunctioning, then it won't work.

righty ho, ill find a row of car and see what happens. Im not sure who had the car before me but they clearly didn't use it. the amount of curb rash on the poor thing!
