On my w211 when it rains the front left or right sensor activates when stopped! Just in rain though so I think it's water on the sensor? Any ideas.

I sometimes get this when the car has been recently waxed and then it rains (doesn't it always.....). Just water running off the bonnet.

That said it could also be water ingress to the rear of the sensor(s). If they are working ok otherwise, I'd leave alone until you get an error..

Yeah fine in dry. I did think maybe wax as water flows off my bonnet in big clumps when raining as she gets plenty of wax. Thanks again.

My parking sensors in the CLS went nuts when it was hot the week before last, especially as they were covered in a fine dust from the building site near where I park. Had the dreaded red lights all around. On my wife's ML the rear sensors packed up after the cold weather in Jan. It is really annoying that these very cheap parts are so fragile, as the fitting cost of replacements (+ painting) are so high at circa £200 at dealer. Friends with Audi and BMW don't have this issue but I see loads of threads on this forum.

Intermittent red lights all round are usually the result of a sensor on the way out.

A star will tell you which one , they are plug and play , clip the old one out , clip the new one in.

I just had one replaced on my cls because of the red lights popping up , all is well now .

Mine go off after a spirited drive as the engine heat escapes.
