I'm not sure how it works in your car - but in mine, I have these LED displays and when you are getting close, you have a number of LEDs relating to the proximity. Are you saying this is happening, or as the case was with mine - the two red LEDs came on when it rained, which was resolved by drying them out and applying some specific grease for the job?

To test them, I would imagine the best thing would be to park somewhere where there is nothing around you, and get someone else with a broom handle or something to wave in front of each sensor respectively whilst standing well clear. I would imagine this would reveal the culprit(s).

If they have only been replaced recently, I would probably be suspecting one or more duffers in there (or maybe bad connection so remove and re-fit).

If you paid for it to be done, take it back to them!

they used to be fine but played up after a run , for no reason at all they will just light up red and beep , sometimes just one side , sometimes both . they are factory fit on a 57 plate . testing up agianst wall doesnt give a true reading , just all or nothing . ????

Hi,
As you already suspected sounds like you have a sensor gone you will need to get it plugged into STAR (MB diagnostic programme), it will then pinpoint exactly which one of the sensors needs to be replaced.
It doesnt have to be a main dealer as a good Indy will have the diagnostic software.

cheers for replies , will see if my man can do it if not get it to a dealer . it was crazing me to be honest , i didnt like turning them off as my mrs drives it !!
