Greetings,

Front Centre Left sensor appears to have failed according to Xentry, I guess its time to replace it. I'm assuming original part from Mercedes is the way forward, unless forum wisdom and people's experiences says otherwise? For a w164 ML.

Bosch sensors are, I believe, the OM, so might as well stick to Bosch. From memory, I don't think they're silly money.

Upto the end user at the end of the day , but eBay sensors do the job. If it's a bumper off job then maybe yes , mercedes genuine only !!

Thanks people, I'm guessing replacing the offender is good enough and the others don't need to be? If bumpers coming off I'm thinking just replace them all...but then I'm also thinking of it ain't broke don't fix it...

Certainly check them for signs of degradation and delamination of the rubber seal used in the manufacturing process. Once it starts to deteriate water/moisture gets in.

Coincidentally I had a pin hole leak on the radiator around the direction the sensor lives...that makes sense, cheers. Will inspect all/loom/etc.
