Has anyone had any correspondence or dealings with Pastdue Credit Solutions?
I have received a letter from them about a £80 penalty notice for an offence on
1 March 2017. The vehicle referred to belongs to my son though at the time I
was down as the registered keeper. My son has no recollection of any offence.

Just had a quick Google of them and it doesn't make for pleasant reading. Was the car taxed at the time (or on SORN)?

Apparently they deal directly with the DVLA so it could be a tax issue.

Ask them what the offense relates to. You can't be fined for no good reason.

An 'offence' and a 'fine' relate to a criminal matter, not civil, so this is likely to do with the DVLA or the local Council etc.

When asking for details of the alleged offence, ask them also for photographic evidence (if applicable).

Have you checked the vehicle was properly licensed during the time you were responsible for it?

It's almost certainly a Late Licensing Penalty where the penalty is £80 and passed to a Debt Agency by default.

Look at pepipoo or money savings expert.

If it's for a 'parking charge' for outstaying your free three hrs at a supermarket/tk maxx / etc, then the above sites will give you all the info you need to deal with it.

Don't pay a bean yet.

I've successfully kicked two of these tickets into touch :)
