Anyone know the easiest way to block this ?

And does anyone else have issues with users installing remote control software ? If so what measures do you have in place to block them ?

A couple of ideas

If you have only a small number of users try the suggestion from Stevesy in this recent post http://www.mbclub.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=42374 .

For a larger user pool I would probably add them to the proxy blacklist, if you have one. If you dont a simple linux proxy with content filtering is available from www.safesquid.org.

To get a list of these site I usually just google key words like "remote assistance", and "PC remote control" then add the results to the blacklist.

Hope this has been helpful

As above, I have just installed Avast anti virus and it seems to be quite good. In the Web Shield section you can block URLs and use wild cards.

ie *msn* will block all attempts to visit anything to do with MSN. EVen google search..!
