I have a 2006 c200 w203 with 70k on the clock. It has suddenly developed a petrol leak. I have checked all the obvious stuff like injectors etc but I cannot find the high pressure pump to check joints etc.. Where is it? Its not near the fuel rail. I have stripped out the air inlet tubing etc but I couldn't find it.

Help!! and grattitude if anyone knows.

Edit: I'm not sure it does actually - the video title states M271 but then the subtitle states it's a W205 he's working on. Which would be a M274 wouldn't it?
Thanks for your help. The next reply says there is no high pressure pump!!

No high pressure pump! only low pressure pump in the tank, fuel rail and injectors into inlet manifold.

...It has suddenly developed a petrol leak...

Can you elaborate? Do you see petrol dripping under the car? If so, where exactly? I.e., how do you know there's a fuel leak?

Also, your car definitely has the 1.8L M271 Kompressor engine. And, there's a fuel filter under the right hand rear wheel arch lining, that should be replaced every 40000 miles or 4 years.

I don't know nor can I find a fuel leak. There is a strong smell of petrol under the bonnet at start up and running. There is no smell in the car nor from the rear end of the car. I am surprised that there is no high pressure pump on a 271 engine, nor apparently, is there a fuel bleed off pipe from the fuel rail. I can't find any problems with the fuel supply pipe going to the rail. I cannot find any petrol leaking onto the ground. I shall look into the filter thing under the wheel arch.

Very strange. Thanks for your help

Its not a late enough car to have the HP pump.
