Does anyone use these ? If so are they as good as the blurb reads?

Also am I right in my assumption that I would have to use 4 (2 each side) on a W203 ?

Thanks

Do you mean Philips X-Treme Power? If so, I think several members are - including me. They're good, several threads here on them if you do a search.

There's a 'bulb finder' here (top left):

If your bulbs are H4 you only need two. If H7 you will need 4. This info. will be in your handbook too.

Recently came tops in an autoexpress review (there's a post on one to the MB forums with a link).

They came top indeed in the autoexpress review however that did not include the testing of the Osram Nightbreakers which they claim to beat the X-Treme Power bulbs in certain other reviews. They are 90% more brighter and also give a 10% whighter light too. Worth giving them both a good research before making up your mind.

I pity the folk who have the misfortune to be driven at with the equivalent of your beams on :(

Huh? They still produce less light than HIDs, which are commonplace.

I bought 1 set for my 2006 W203 to replace the dip beam only. They are as good as the claims and I recommend them wholeheartedly. I didn't think it worth the cost to replace the high beams as they're not used too often and on coutry lanes the hedge rows are quite close. Powerbulbs also offer free sidelight bulbs which match the white light now coming from the dipped beams.

yup commonplace and constantly blinding everyone driving down a particular hill locally. The hill and bend combined result in cars going down the hill not being able to see a thing due to all the ultra bright beams coming up the hill. I accept they may be useful elsewhere but on that particular road they annoy me every day.

I have just bought some Osram Nightbreaker bulbs H4 for wifeys Honda. These are +90% and +10% whiter.

Only thing I notice is that on the box there is a little clock motif. This is seems to indicate they last half as long as standard osram bulbs.

Price of these is £15 per pair off ebay. (7.50 each!) which is why I went for these rather than Philips.

I have also put +80% philips in my SLK a few months ago. Very bright :D

Well I ordered 2 pairs as per the website and have been sent 2 single units... I have emailed them with a copy of their advert -- not happy about this as at £30 + P&P for 2 this is NOT good value...

I will let them come back to me with an explanation before I take things further ..

Just wanted to warn others....
