Hi guys, I have just brought a 57 plate SLK230 and having problems conecting my android phone. Through the menu it says phone not available, any help would be great.

Hello and welcome.

First of all can we establish that you definitely have the necessary phone pre-wiring.

Obviously don't know how good your knowledge of Mercs is, but nearly all have the phone buttons on the audio and steering wheel, but that doesn't guarantee that they have the pre-wiring as it was a cost cutting exercise to install the buttons in all cars, even without the rest of the equipment.

Do you have COMAND or standard Audio?

Being a 2007 car, and the fact that you have found something to pair with, suggests you have phone pre-wire. In the 2005/2006/2007 cars the pre-wire also had bluetooth for pairing only with headsets built in. They dropped it because no one used it and everyone got confused !

So, if you are trying to pair with a device called SNI-..... then that is the bluetooth for headsets only

You need to look inside the top section of your armrest, for a UHI connector, or a cradle. What is needed is a bluetooth adapter connected to that, such as this. (after the cradle has been unclipped if there is one there already)
