:)
People trying to blag a test drive :) .

My advice would be to read the manual, read the manual, (that should take a couple of days) and then most importantly try ALL the electrical options. Sadly there have been a drop in quality control on final inspection and cars are being released with 'teething problems'

Nice car, can I have a test drive please?? ;) ;)

Regards,
John

Congratlations - we used to have a CL600 (my Father's...) awsome car.

Is urs brand new or used ? - If brand new just do the usual PDI checks etc. and make sure eletrical compoenents works etc.

If used then get a independant profesional to give the car a full once over.... (in case any faults that are not apparent at the time or if work needs doing in the near future...)

Only downside is that they depectiate like bricks (if purchased new).... X/Y Plates can now be picked up for 40Gs or slighly under...

Enjoy...

Have you sold the Porsche to buy it? What made you change?

I am selling the 911, I find I dont use the car because of the confort factor etc, my back is playing up etc etc, a manual 911 is not the best around town.

Saying that I went to Newcastle from London in 3 hours last Sunday and stopped for breakfast on the way !!!. Amazing drive in an even more amazing car.

If I had the money I would keep both. :(((((

If I won the lottery I would have a 911 from each generation and the Merc !.

One thing to have a look at on colleaction is the ABC air suspension. Before you drive the car away from the dealer, raise the car up (press the button to make the car 3 inches higher) and then press it again to drop it back down. Then get out and check that the car is level all round. 2000/2001 cars had a self leveling problem.

(Mine had a drooping drivers side, which made some people think there was a 20 stone bloke driving it until it was fixed)

Also make sure that the front seats glide backwards and forwards (so someone can get in the back) as they sometimes get confused and need to be reset by the dealer.

Apart from that enjoy a great car and great engine!

I think self closing on the boot is an option, you will only find out when you open the boot & look to see if there are two red buttons under the bootlid.
