Please can someone on here help! I am putting an SL63 rear bumper on my SL55. I have the bumper and all the brackets etc.

I need two other pieces of information that so far 5 Merc dealers are unable to give me.

I think I need to change the rear wheel arch liners and I may need to chnage the plastic undertray (under the spare wheel well). Mercedes cannot confirm this from their parts diagrams as they show two wheel arch liner parts and two undertray parts but do not confirm which models each fo them belong to.

So I need anyone with an SL63 to take a pic of the rear of the rear wheel arch for me where the bumper meets the liner and if possible a shot of the rear undertray where it meets the underside of the rear bumper/diffuser.

I even went to a Merc dealer 40 miles away so look at a secondhand SL63, but as I was honest and told them what I was doing they wouldn't let me anywhere near it (as I wasn't in the market to buy it). I guess turning up in a 10 yo Volvo didn't help either!

I do find the fact that the delaer network cannot tell me which liners and undertray goes with the 63 and whether they are the same as what I ahve on my car a bit strange!

To be frank I am losing patience with the whole plan .... coming from the world of Jap cars where you can find anything out and the dealers are happy to help this whole 'attitude' I am getting from MB dealers is annoying! The only one so far happy to help are MB Stockport, but they cannot find a definitive answer!

Cheers, that is really so appreciated and is just what I needed to see. I need the different arch liners for sure now. Nice to know.

Is there any way you can get a shot under the centre of the rear bumper. Don't worry if you can't as I know it's awkward. Just need to see the undertray.

Not exactly sure which bit & using a mobile doesn't give much flexibility. You can see the diffuser in both these - if you need a wider field, let me know & I'll try a proper camera later. Best to PM me in case I miss the reply (as I did in this instance!)

Cheers, that's bniliant... the undertray is different. That's what I needed to know. Many thanks. Have PMd as well
