Anyone watched it this weekend? All the works done by 'West Coast Customs' in the US.
I stumbled across it whilst bored today, and at first they looked like a load of monkeys jumping round a car, but do those guys know their stuff!

They took a rusty camper van this afternoon and fitted 12 LCD TV's to the floor cover by perspex, a 40" plasma to the front, automated surf racks to the roof, a tumble dryer in the rear, automated wet suit hangers, MP4 player with flip down roof screens, chrome alloys, complete new exterior job etc etc etc.

Seems they also do Maybach's, Ferrari's, Bentleys and a rather nice CL!

Considering a subtle mod on your CL are you? ;)

My 10 year old has been watching this for some time and got me into it.

Tim Westwood has recently gone a UK version but its very poor. Not so much because of the cars (Morris Minor, Golf GTI, London Taxi) but because of Tim Westwood who tries to mimic the US presenter - and its cringingly bad.....I just wish he'd shut up.

Cracking concept overall though - very entertaining - I saw yesterday's when they put $30,000 of screens and speakers in the back of a girl's tip up pick up truck..............wacky but great viewing.

I've watched it for the past couple of days.
Those guys are good!
I was wondering if they'd do a Merc. Not sure if a pink CL was what I was hoping for?
I liked the pool table in the back of the pickup truck. No way is that ever going to be level enough to play.
Best one for me was that VW Camper. You see a lot of 'customised' ones in this part of the world (in fact my neighbour has a nice one) but never as well done as that one with the TVs. Awesome :bannana:

Sorry , have i missed something?, PMR has been on for ages

Matt, i think the pink CL has been posted before as well ......

The WCC boys , as you say, do indeed look like morons but the quality of their work is impressive.....

A great show, cheap TV too, pop round to someones house, grab their car, spent 50-60 k pimping it and then show it. Youve got half an hours telly for less than 100k !

You do realise the UK version is a P-take?

It's fun, but it seems a bit 'Changing Rooms' to me.

They never (rarely) do anything to the engine or running gear, and the paint job is always done with all the panels on, so the door shuts and so on don't get painted.

This programme works in the USA because they don't generally have an MOT or equivalent, so you can get some complete sheds in daily use. However, papering over the cracks like this doesn't make them safer or more reliable.

How long before they fall to bits, I wonder?

does it really matter if your motor is that bad in the first place, they make them look nice and give the owners a wow factor which is cool!

PMR has been on for years by the way!!

Did anyone see them turn a US escort into a BMW M3. They swapped the front grill and bumper with that of an M3 and swapped the rear lights with a set from a Merc SL.

Its a criminal waste of money as it still had a standard 15 year old underpowered engine and auto gearbox.

Yesterday they did up a Caddilac with 22 carat gold wire wheels and solid gold grill. Plus a host of LCDs and a drum kit!! Crazy!!!!!

CLK w208 lights ;)

TBH, it didnt look that bad afterwards.

Did anyone see the ep with the real live rat in a car?

I love the way they batter up the cars to make them look worse beforehand. eg front light clusters hanging out :)

I've seen the show before but I don't have access to MTV at home. I saw the marathon on TMF though, pretty funny :)

That's all they do, that's who their customers are and that's mainly down to their reputation and prices. You see the looks of dismay on their faces when X turns up in some wreck? :) .

Same goes for the interior decorating shows.

You sure? I hadn't realised, I just thought Westwood was a pratt.....!

He is a pratt. You laugh at him not with him. When will he realise he isn't black. He's whiter than Michael Jackson. Da ultimate Wigga. :(

Sad thing is, he'll still be doing this schtick in 10yrs time when he's old and grey.
