First time mercedes owner and im having a few tiny problems, wondering if anyone can help!

Central locking - sometimes works when really close but not from a distance...have had batteries changed and checked fuses!

Clunk - theres a sort of clunk that happens when i reverse my car on full lock whilst reversing but only happens once, very weird

Please help if possible

Just a thought, Sometimes cheap key fob batteries are not upto much and maybe past there shelf life, re the clunk maybe the bottom ball joint is on the way out.

Define the distances you are talking about.

I cant unlock the car from say 3-4 feet away but sometimes unlocks at about 2-3 inches away (when i point key at driver handle)
