Possible Camshaft Adjuster issue?

Hi Everyone,

I've been running into some issues lately with my 2012 C63 W204.

Symptoms:

1. Idle slightly rough on start (can hear rattle slightly) but settles after, although after setting off after a complete stop the engine feels unsteady/almost trembles (initially I thought this may be engine mounts).
2. I had EML come on around 2 months ago - 2 codes flagged up: 0732 & 0745 (please see images attached), I cleared this as I fuelled up for the first time with e10 (unleaded 95) due to the fuel shortage and thought this may have caused it.
3. EML back on couple of days back: P2187

History of the car:

52k Miles
Serviced every year without fail at Mercedes

From the above, I am leaning towards the camshaft adjusters being faulty (on Bank 1, Exhaust side) which is so frustrating for a car with such low miles and impeccable history.

Has anyone had dealings with Mercland in Nuneaton? If so, would they be the right people for diagnosing and getting this sorted (without needing to sell my kidney)? I am leaning towards the 63 MOTORSPORTS Kit but not sure whether a mechanic (unless a specialist) would be interested in assisting with this route.

It might be worth checking/replacing the injectors first. They can be a weak point and you do have an incorrect fuel mix and rough running.

A set of injectors from MB is £515 but they're Bosch 0280 158 142 and these can be bought for under £25 each (under £200) and the set fitted in 30 mins.

To answer your question re Mercland. I have never used them personally but Jay at Mercland was on this forum when I joined 13 years ago. In all that time I have only ever seen good or excellent things about him and his business; not one complaint. I would therefore have complete confidence in them.

Mercland in Nuneaton have an excellent reputation for selling, serving and repairing Mercedes, and for good reason - I wouldn’t hesitate to use them.

MSL Performance in Birmingham would be worth calling, they almost certainly work on the M156 6.2 litre more than any other engine, and again they have an excellent reputation.

Lean codes can be down to an intake air leak, o2 sensor issue or even a low fuel pressure. It needs proper diagnosis with a Star looking at the live data.
