Mercedes e class w211 e280 cdi saloon
Hi all.
My car has 84k miles
And is 2009 model e280 cdi

So basically I have this issue in comfort and sport mode at full throttle at 2k rpm car loses power.
But not in manual mode is fine.

1/10 is okay even in automatic but most of time i have this issue.

Manual mode is always fine.

I had stage 1 remap done few days ago, this problem I had before so is not related to remap.
Before remap diagnostic is been done ,low boost pressure fault came up.

Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks everyone.

I think you should agree, you made mistake by doing remap before sorting the issue out.

Thirst, hopefully it's only turbo pipe seal gone and you loosing pressure. Easy to do.

Second, turbo actuator. If you look up, YouTube has few videos to to test it. No need of special tools/software

Third, boost pressure sensor, I'm sure I've seen people having problems with them.

And last one, Turbo on its way. Maybe for some reason it doesn't respond same on manual and auto.

Hope this helps in the way.

Thanks for your advice,
So it can't be a gearbox issue?
My friend told me you might need a gearbox service or something is wrong with gearbox. ( he clearly don't know what he's talking about) .

Well, hopefully he doesn't. I have seen post somewhere while ago, that gearbox could cause abnormal engine behaviour.
But surely, that wouldn't flag low boost fault.

try the easiest/cheapest first.
They gearbox will react to the reduction in torque produced by the engine.

Rather than guessing or playing "parts darts" take it to an MB specialist who knows how to properly diagnose problems.

Show it to an Independent for diagnosis before you do more serious damage to the fault.

And definitely don’t remap when you’ve got an existing fault. You’ve just put yourself into more danger.

Mondo , If I were you I would get the 'map' taken off , fix the fault , then remap later. I get it that the fault was there before the remap but going back to basics might be the best bet.

Basically last week I had full service done all filters + oil changed and 5 glow plugs change,
After that I didn't have this issue, I thought must be fuel filter issue, or any dirty filter,
And day after no issue then I booked in for a remap,
After a remap no issue on the same day and is started again a day after.

I have also noticed when car is been driven for more then 30+ mins then it's might be fine.
I'm using this as a second car I don't drive that much.

Car is been booked in for a diagnostic from mercedes specialist next Friday.
